60163 without its Tornado plates (it is to be named later in the year) is seen in York National Railway Museum, it was really difficult to get a decent photograph of it, and this is the best I could do! 2009-01-02 11:19:39 |

Another shot I tried to be creative with! My intention was to capture the front of the Deltic and the photograph and some of the information board below it! 2009-01-02 11:31:01 |

With some of the older types of the Shinkansen being withdrawn in Japan, to be precise the '0 Series' which were constructed between 1963 - 1986 it seemed fitting that I photographed the only Bullet Train outside of Japan, here we see JR-W 22-141 which was built in 1976 in the National Railway Museum, this interesting piece of kit was donated in 2001 to the museum from the JR Group! It remains as much of an interest as it did when it arrived in the UK, as can be seen from this photograph! 2009-01-02 11:54:11 |
York Station, a place where many people must have waved there relatives away on a train… Here in what I hope is my best ‘arty farty’ shot of the day we see a National Express HST set leaving while a passenger waves to one of her friends. 2009-01-02 15:02:46 |
